Posted on Tuesday, February 27, 2007

This Friday, March 2nd at 9:30pm the Fine Living Network’s Dinner Date features Chef Ralph Pallarino of Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon in West Conshohocken. The show will be re-run at 12:30 am on Saturday, March 3rd, 9:30 pm on Thursday, March 08 and 12:30 am on Friday, March 09.

Also catch Chef Ralph on NBC’s 10! Show this Monday, March 5th at 10 am.

In Ralph’s episode of Dinner Date, we sit in on a cooking class where brides-to-be and their future mothers-in-law have the opportunity to get to know each other on a completely different level…while cooking a three course meal! Chef Ralph Pallarino guides his students through a fabulous home cooked Italian meal that will make fiancés happy and moms proud.

From the Amatricana sauce to the fried calamari these moms and daughters must work together to satisfy the chef’s discriminating palate and create a meal that can bring a family together. Some laugh, some get frustrated, but everyone learns something new about themselves, their new family members, and (of course) about cooking. After the sauce has been stirred and wine poured Chef Pallarino tastes the results and hands out awards for taste, humor and teamwork. Salut!

More on Dinner Date

Dinner Date is a show where you see friendships form, a little flirting, some frustration, and oh yeah…FOOD!

On Dinner Date we quickly learn that cooking class is about more than just food—it’s an experience. It can be fun and funny, maddening, and even sexy. Dinner Date is about people connecting and enjoying a culinary adventure together.

Each half hour episode will focus on a different class and the people who choose to take it. Before the class begins, we meet the Chef in charge and the students. We find out who they are and why they are there. We watch them learn to cook a fantastic feast and enjoy the challenges they face. We are the fly on the wall of a great cooking experience (the only bug in the kitchen…we promise).

The themes of the classes are as interesting as the people who take them. In every episode we hone in on what makes the class different. We highlight the experiences that the students are having interacting with one another. We want the viewer to wish that they had these cooking classes in their neighborhood. Each class is different, each situation is different but they are all a blast to watch.
