Owners Marianne Gere and Kim Strengari have revamped their corner bar into an upscale, non-smoking Italian bistro with a 15-foot bar, less kitschy décor, and a contemporary small- and large-plate menu. Culinary highlights: the clam and mussel pot, fried artichoke hearts with balsamic mayonnaise, and lollipop lamb chops with mint-cilantro yogurt and smoked chili oil.
