That’s entertainment

Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen will play counselor this fall with the Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp, which (for $1,999 a head) puts amateur rockers in the creative company with pros at the Trocadero in Chinatown. Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters, Wallflowers), Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad), Mark Hudson (producer for Aerosmith), Kip Winger (Winger), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy) and Sandy Gennaro (Joan Jett) are on board, too.

Uosikkinen imagines the experience will be like a Phillies fantasy camp in Clearwater, Fla., and just as the wannabe ball players work through jitters on the field, he expects to see the music neophytes “look like deer in the headlights the first time they’re on stage.” His tip: “Keep it simple. Don’t try to get too fancy.” Founder David Fishof cautions: “It’s camp, but it’s almost like boot camp.”
