The sound of Philadelphia

Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen is recording what he feels are the “essential” songs of Philadelphia – either recorded in Philadelphia or written and performed by Philadelphians – as a benefit for Settlement Music School. The first song, available for download Wednesday for 99 cents, will be “All My Mondays,” recorded in 1983 by Youth Camp. For this cover, Uosikkinen plays with the Hooters’ Eric Bazilian and Rob Hyman, the A’s/Peace CreepsRichard Bush, Beru Revue‘s Greg Davis, and Too Much Joy‘s William Wittman. Details are at songsinthepocket.org
