What to Eat at Xilantro, Opening Soon in Wayne

Xilantro, the swanky mod Mex number we told you last June was coming to Wayne, is finally ready to make its debut sometime this weekend, or at the very latest early next week. The joint effort from Luis Marin, who owns the well-received trio of El Sarape restaurants in Bucks and Montgomery counties, and entrepreneur Joel Solomon will feature a 70-seat dining room, a stylish and spacious bar with more than 100 different types of tequila, and a menu boasting seasonal riffs on authentic Mexican dishes and some contemporary interpretations of them, as envisioned and prepared by Chef Juan Pablo Quiroz.

Of course tableside guacamole service will be offered, and some other menu highlights include grilled pork chops with tomatillo sauce and crunchy plantains, barbacoa de borrego, Mexican style braised lamb with seasonal vegetables, and Filete Tlaxcala, a center cut filet mignon with chorizo and chorizo sauce, Chihuahua cheese and corn tortillas.
