From the band that brought international attention to Philadelphia’s music scene,

The Hooters’ David Uosikkinen is recording what he feels, are the Essential Songs of Philadelphia. Uosikkinen chose to revisit songs that were recorded in Philadelphia or written & performed by Philadelphians. These essential songs will feature a rotating line up of Philadelphia’s most celebrated musicians.

Check out what people are saying…

“Anyone deep into the local music scene ought to perk up and listen to the tunes drummer David Uosikkinen and friends are rerecording for “In the Pocket: Essential Songs of Philadelphia.”

– Jonathan Takiff, Philadelphia Daily News

“David Uosikkinen, the drummer for The Hooters has launched a pretty cool, ambitious project…”

– Bruce Warren, WXPN
