Wouldn’t it be great to reach Nirvana (a state of bliss) at every meal? Well, now you can! Conshohocken’s landmark 401 Diner is now, Nirvana (BYOB).

Owner, Nabin Chhantyal and Chef Jagmeet “Happy” Singh have been quietly implementing a modern fusion of Indian classics that are as beautiful as they are tasty.

The 401’s regular diner fare will continue to be offered everyday for breakfast and lunch. In addition, Indian lunch will be a daily changing prix fixe menu with a choice of appetizer or soup and a main course, lentils, rice and Naan bread (a daily vegetarian option is also offered) for $9.95 plus tax.

Enjoy all sorts of organic eggs and omelets; blueberry, banana and whole wheat pancakes; and a variety of salads, paninis, sandwiches, juicy burgers and more!

At Nirvana, Chef Happy Singh is pushing the limits of what is traditional, into a new fresh twist on the classics. From flaming presentations to colorful edible terrariums, his goal is to wow the guests, going above and beyond their expectations. View the dinner menu.

About 401 Nirvana…

Owner Nabin Chhantyal:
Born in Nepal, Nabin Chhantyal is the former owner and chef of Aman’s Indian Cuisine located in East Norriton, PA. Nabin fell in love with cooking as a child, at his father’s Indian restaurant.
He moved to Philadelphia in 2000 to study technology and began working in the kitchen at Aman’s. Chhantyal worked his way up to head chef and then purchased the restaurant in 2010. At Nirvana, he has created his vision of the modern Indian restaurant.
Chef Jagmeet “Happy” Singh:
Chef Happy Singh grew up in in Punjab, India. He came to the US in 2007 to study and become a pilot at Ohio’s Kent State University. After a short time, Happy had a change of heart and decided to do something he was passionate about, cooking. Chef Singh began his love of cooking from the hand of his mother.
He honed his craft from working along side Chef Prem Nath Motiram, a veteran of the esteemed Bombay Palace restaurants in New York, Montréal, Singapore and Tokyo. After learning as much as he could at Bombay Palace, Happy settled into his own kitchen at Spice Kitchen in Trooper, PA. At Nirvana in Conshohocken, Happy looks forward to creating an exciting modern fusion of Indian classic dishes.
