Global Wine Dinner at Teikoku

Celebrating the food of Japan & Thailand

Paired with Wine from Italy

At 7:00pm on Wednesday, June 4th Teikoku in Newtown Square will host a Five Course Wine Dinner, pairing some of chefs Hosaka Toshio and Lek Pratchaya’s favorite Japanese and Thai inspired dishes with Italian wines.

Ashley Costanzo from Vintage Wines will host the evening and discuss the featured wines. The cost is $70 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Some might say why pair Japanese and Thai cuisine with the wines of Italy? Well Executive Chef Pratchaya says why not! Thai food has a robust array of spices. The exotic aromas of both the food and the wine compliment each other perfectly.

Sake is legendary in Japanese cooking because of its ability to offer subtlety and nuance. But, there are Italian wines with similar subtleties that pair beautifully with the sashimi and oysters dishes on Teikoku’s five course menu.
