About Pudge’s…

Pudge’s first opened its doors back in 1965 in the LaSalle University area. They moved to Blue Bell in 1972 and have been a staple in the neighborhood ever since. The name “Pudge” came from the original owner, Frank Carbone, who was nicknamed as a child after the dog in the Betty Boop comic strip. But, customers came to associate the name with Big Frank himself. Pudge ran the business until his death in 2000. At which time the shop was taken over by his daughter. Mark Baker and Eric Salfi purchased Pudge’s in Blue Bell in 2011 and opened their Conshohocken location in 2014.
Pudge’s uses only the best premium grade meats. They cook their own pork “Italian style” and prepare homemade soups daily. Their rolls are delivered fresh from the Conshohocken Bakery every morning.
